This page explains how to request deletion of the personal information NexusMotive, Inc. ("NexusMotive", "we", "us") holds about you, and how that request is handled. It covers data collected on the NexusMotive platform and data our Meta app, "NexusMotive AI Inventory" (Facebook App ID 2843813915977067), receives through Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.

For most consumer interactions the dealership you engaged with is the "business" and data controller, and NexusMotive is its service provider. A request submitted through the channels below reaches both NexusMotive and the relevant dealership, so you do not need to file separately with each.

1. Data We Obtain Through Facebook and Instagram#

When a dealership runs Facebook or Instagram lead ads, Messenger conversations, or Page messaging through the NexusMotive platform, our Meta app may receive the following from Meta on that dealership's behalf:

  • Lead form submissions from Facebook and Instagram lead ads (for example your name, email, phone, and the vehicle or offer you asked about).
  • Messenger messages and message postbacks (button taps and quick replies) you send to a dealership's Page.
  • Basic public profile fields you authorize when you use Facebook Login, where that login is offered.
  • Page-interaction metadata tied to your lead or conversation (for example the Page and ad that originated it, and timestamps).

We do not request or store your Facebook password, your friends list, or content unrelated to your inquiry with the dealership.

Meta Platform Terms, Section 6 (data deletion and retention).

2. How to Request Deletion#

You can request deletion of your personal information in either of these ways. There is no fee for making a request.

  • Email privacy@nexusmotive.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Include the name, email address, and/or phone number you used, plus the dealership you interacted with, so we can locate your records.
  • Use the consumer privacy form linked in the footer of the dealership's website ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" / privacy request), which records the request against the same identity.

If you reached a dealership through Facebook or Instagram, telling us the Facebook or Instagram name you used helps us match the Meta-sourced records.

3. What Happens After You Request#

We confirm receipt within ten business days and complete verified requests within forty-five days, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA). If a request is unusually complex we may extend once by a further forty-five days, and we will tell you if we do.

  • We verify the request is genuinely yours, then locate every matching record across the platform using hashed identifiers (we match on a one-way SHA-256 of your email or phone, never the plaintext).
  • We delete or de-identify your personal information, including the Meta-sourced lead and conversation data described above, and instruct downstream systems to do the same.
  • Because each dealership's consumer data is encrypted under its own key, deletion is enforced per dealership; one dealership's request never exposes or affects another's data.

We may retain a limited subset of records where the law allows or requires it (for example to complete a transaction you requested, for security and fraud prevention, or to meet a legal, accounting, or tax obligation). Everything else is removed.

Cal. Civ. Code Section 1798.105 (right to delete).

4. Removing the App on Facebook and Instagram#

You can also stop future data sharing directly from Meta. On Facebook, open Settings and Privacy, then Settings, then Apps and Websites, find "NexusMotive AI Inventory", and remove it. On Instagram, the equivalent control is under Settings, then Apps and Websites. Removing the app stops new data from being shared with us. To delete data we already hold, use the request channels in Section 2.
